Rating: - cool looking speakers, but....
the sound quality (which is the reason for buying these, right?) is a little above average for music and abysmal for movies. the speakers sound muffled like they are underwater when playing movies. adjusted the realtek hd audio settings with no improvement (speaker settings are limited to volume and minimal base). my 4 year old bose sounded much better and were more versatile.
Rating: - Gorgeous Sound and Looks
This is my second pair of these. The movers broke the first set. I bought a cheap set which sounded awful. I had forgotten how wonderful these sound on everything from Techno to Classical to acoustic guitar. The woofer has its own control, so you can really boom the bass if you want. Plus they're beautiful to look at! Amazon's price--including shipping--was $60 lower than my local Best Buy.

PC add-on speakers vary considerably. These Soundsticks sound really, REALLY good, for computer speakers. So good, that if you find yourself lacking a home stereo system, these will do an acceptable job in a pinch.

It compares very favorable to old generation passive 3 cubic foot bass reflex enclosures. Amazing what they can do with electronics.
