Rating: - Tekky look at the avermedia scan converter
This device is super tiny, and I made it even tinier by surgically removing the "monitor thru" cable (which would never get used by myself), along with the non composite outputs, which lessened the bulk and of course voided my warranty. Well the unit I got was used, and it had a "crushed" brightness switch - a testament to its fragile nature, but I had one just like it on another scrapped device and replaced it easily (surface mount pushbutton). Rating: - Disappointed
POC! This product is a complete disappointment. It is made out of very cheap materials, the picture & text quality is almost unreadable, and I could not even get the video to work. Shame on you Avermedia for such a poor quality product. I returned mine after working with it for a few days.
Rating: - Great Little Product!
I bought this item to connect my laptop to my TV. It works great. Very simple to connect and worked right out of the box. The video looks great on my TV. I would buy it again.
Rating: - Get the potato bag ready. Unfortunately, it works very well.
It's not as good as I'd hoped on picture but good enough. The text problem can be fixed by going into desktop display properties and through the appearance tab by right clicking on destop. Unfortunately it work too well. W/my wireless keyboard and mouse (a must have)this couch potato has grown roots. Anybody who says this is like Tivo has never gotten GOM player (As long as we are throwing around names). It surpasses and revolutionizes TV and gives someone a glimpse at the future.
