I bought this for my tivo series 2 dvr. It has worked great for the past 2 years. However I just got AT&T U-verse and this adapter does not have WP2 security so I had to upgrade to the tivo brand adapter.

I bought the DWL G-122 to use in a laptop while on the road. It worked well for about 8 months then only intermittently. At first I thought it was my laptop and almost paid $1000 to replace it before I started checking out the adapter. Good thing I did.

I tried everything possible to bring the G-122 back to life without success. I finally called Tech Support. There is no Tech Support unless you agree to be robbed. I can almost buy a new adapter for what they want for Tech Support ... Read More

I wanted to connect my new Tivo to an old wireless router ("B" series). My computer geek friends told me to try to get a "B" USB adapter. They are basically a discontinued item since newer routers have come on the scene. I was able to find this through Amazon and it worked like a charm out of the box with no configuration necessary. Here it is, in all its glory, a USB wireless adapter with the Prism chip set. What does that mean? Well it means you can sniff packets. If you ever found yourself itching to break into your neighbors WEP protected wireless network, this is the adapter for you.
