Rating: - To battle beside lesser gods...
I was hesitant to buy this game because I thought that it would be too much like the AGE OF EMPIRES games (which I owned and liked.) I found that this game differed enough to be worth the extra time and money. All the hero and mythology units really do add an entirely different feel to the play. Plus, the the story line and cut scenes for the 36 campaign scenerios was very well done. You actually begin to identify with the various characters. There are also enough minor differences in units and technology ... Read More
Rating: - BEST **** THING THAT HIT THE RACKS!!!
Picky people, anyone who rates this lower than 5. This game is AWESOME! Anyone who says, "It gets old," would have to be told a lot that they get tired of things easily.
Anyone who says, "The graphics are cruddy," has an old computer. (no offense or anything :] )
I recommend this game for...ah, let's see...EVERYBODY WHO LOVES FUN!!!
Rating: - Very good simulation, very fun
A good simulation in the typical build and achieve goals mode. Some fun mythological beasts, soldiers, etc., Gods to pray to. Gives a bit of a history lesson as well.
Rating: - Age of Empires with a HUGE twist
Whether you're a fan of RTS games or perhaps just interested in a different type of game, then I highly recommend Age of Mythology. It really is part of the Age of Empires family except with a great big twist:
Positive:
1.) Graphics: The realism of the characters, buildings, and units is just great in this game because they all move and act realistically. I also have to mention that the water is incredible because you even watch the ships sink down into it as it glistens all around ... Read More
Rating: - Same old, same old..
Ok, I did not expect anything different from Age of Kings when I bought this game. I wanted just more of the same and this is what I got. So in terms of innovation, this game does not deliver anything more than it's predecessors. It may be more fun if you're new to Age of Empires, and in that case I suggest that you by the Age of Empires - Age of Kings version of the game.
