This original Lexmark Ink cartridge #16 has always performed well for me. I once tried a #17 because it was slightly cheaper. However, it has significantly less ink. I've also tried a "re manufactured" (refilled) cartridge and found that my Lexmark printer did not work well with it. I now buy multi unit packs and search for sales. The price of the ink cartridge is relatively high to probably make up for their very cheap printers.

opened cartridge packaging and ink had leaked from cartridge. a real mess.I installed cartridge and it works ok albeit with about half the ink remaining. I've always been pleased with amazon, but not this time.
Rating: - Not Bad For an Inkjet
I highly recommend buying this cartridge, #16 as opposed to #17--it will last you much longer and save you money. The two are interchangeable, except that #16 lasts longer and is usually only marginally more expensive. I would not recommend using a refill kit or buying generic.
It makes me angry that I could buy a new printer (which would include b&w and colour cartridges) for less than it would cost to replace the b&w and colour cartridges. So I just don't buy colour. I'm ... Read More
Rating: - Dries up really fast with 70% ink left
You won't be printing many pages with these! Lexmark has cheap printers but their ink is expensive and the jets clog/dry up in a week or so making the whole thing useless.
